Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about points, redemptions, giveaways, subscriber-only rewards, redeem codes, and account access.
Points
How do I earn points?
Points are earned through Twitch-related activity configured by the streamer, such as chat activity, subscriptions, bits, redeems, and special events.
How fast are points added?
In most cases, points are added automatically as soon as the related action is processed by the system.
Can my points expire?
That depends on how the streamer wants to run the system. If expiration is ever enabled, it should be announced clearly in advance.
Where can I see my current points?
Your current point balance is shown in the top-right profile area when you are signed in.
Store
How do I redeem an item from the Store?
Sign in with Twitch, make sure you have enough points, and click the redeem button on the item card.
Why can I see an item but not redeem it?
You may not be signed in, may not have enough points, or the item may be restricted to subscribers only.
What does 'Subscribers Only' mean in the Store?
It means the reward can only be redeemed by users who currently have an active Twitch subscription to the channel.
What happens after I redeem an item?
Your points are deducted immediately and the redeem is recorded in the system.
Giveaways
How do giveaways work?
Each giveaway has an entry cost in points. If you have enough points and meet the requirements, you can join directly from the homepage.
Can I join a giveaway multiple times?
That depends on the giveaway settings. Each giveaway can have a maximum number of entries per user.
How is the winner selected?
The winner is drawn randomly from all valid entries. If a user has multiple entries, they have multiple chances to win.
What happens when a giveaway ends?
Once the streamer closes the giveaway and draws a winner, the giveaway card can show the final winner publicly.
Subscribers Only
How do you know whether I am a subscriber?
Subscriber-only access is checked against Twitch on the backend when needed. It is not only a visual badge.
Why does a subscriber-only button look disabled for me?
The system could not confirm that your account currently has an active subscription to the channel.
I just subscribed. Why am I still blocked?
Sometimes it can take a short moment for Twitch-side data to reflect correctly. Try refreshing the page and trying again.
Redeem Codes
What is a redeem code?
A redeem code is a special code that adds bonus points to your account when entered on the Redeem Code page.
Can I use the same code more than once?
No. Each code can only be used once per account.
Why is my code not working?
The code may be invalid, already used, or it may have reached its total usage limit.
Account
Do I need to sign in to use the site?
You can browse public content without signing in, but you need to sign in with Twitch to redeem rewards, join giveaways, and use redeem codes.
Why do I need Twitch login?
Twitch login is used to identify your account, track your points, and verify eligibility for subscriber-only features.
Can I browse the site without connecting my Twitch account?
Yes. The homepage, Store items, Giveaways, Leaderboard, and FAQ can be visible publicly depending on configuration.
